Abstract

Energy needs in Indonesia continue to increase from year to year, so the government creates renewable energy, namely co-firing, The raw material for the co-firing mixture is biomass including waste that is processed into waste pellets, wood pellets and wood chips. To support wood chips to the power plant, a shredding machine is needed to be able to crush and smooth wood at various levels of wood hardness. Such as twigs, logs, and roots can be crushed and mashed by this machine. In the design of a wood chipper engine that uses an electric motor drive with a transmission power P = 0.75 kW, shaft rotation n1 = 1500 rpm. Number of V-belt cross sections: type A, circumference length No. 34 L = 864 mm, Number of belts 1 piece outer diameter of pulleys d_k == 95 mm Dk = 164 mm, Shaft distance adjustment area ?Ci = 20 mm, ?Ct = 25 mm.
