Welding is the process of joining two metals into a joint using heat. This study aims to determine how much the value of the bending strength test on gas welding metal arc welding (GMAW) using ER70S-3 welding wire with electric current variations, namely 80A, 100A and 120A. The welding method used in this study is gas metal arc welding (GMAW), the material used is SS400 with a length of 150 mm, a width of 20 mm and a thickness of 10 mm. the type of compound used is V compound with 60° dryness according to AWS G1 standard. 1:2000. The test conducted is bending test with Three points Bending method. Bending test specimen based on ASTM E32-02 standardization. The lowest bending strength test value is at 80A with an average value of 17.3 kN and a bending voltage value of 1946.25 N/mm2. The average value of bending test strength at 100A current strength is 18.0 kN and bending voltage value is 2.025 N / mm2. for the strong current of 120 is the largest with an average value of 19.8 kN and bending stress value of 2227.5 N/mm2.
