Abstract

Welding is the process of joining two or more metals by melting the parent metal using heat energy. This research aims to determine the value of the bending strength of SMAW welding using E6013 welding wire with various variations of electric current, namely 80A, 90A and 100A. The welding method used is SMAW welding with SS400 material. The type of seam used was seam V with a slope of 60 ° AWS standardization d1.1: 2000. The test performed is the bending test with the Three Point Bending method. Bending test specimens based on ASTM E23-02 standardization. The lowest bending strength value is at the current 80A with an average bending stress value of 1.256 N / mm². The average value of the bending strength ¬ for a current strength of 90A, the average bending stress is 1.305 N / mm². For a current strength of 100A is the largest, which is 1.387 N / mm².
