INTERPERSONAL COMMUNICATION AND AGGRESSIVENESS: QUANTITATIVE STUDY OF DRUG USER PRISONERS IN SUMBAWA CLASS II A PRISON

Interpersonal communication and aggressiveness are variables that are interconnected with each other. This study aims to analyze the influence of interpersonal communication on aggressiveness on the accuracy of drug users in Class II A Sumbawa prison. This research uses a quantitative descriptive type approach. The sampling technique was carried out by determining based on the sloving formula with a total of 70 respondents. The research instrument consists of two scales, namely the interpersonal communication scale and the aggressiveness scale. Based on the data analysis carried out, the results obtained in this study show that the significant value (Sig.) is 0.000 (<0.05) that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected, which indicates that there is an influence of interpersonal communication on aggressiveness in curing drug users in Class II A Sumbawa prison. . Meanwhile, the R square value is 0.288. This value means that the influence of interpersonal communication on aggressiveness is 28.8%, while 71.2% of aggressiveness is influenced by other variables that were not studied, such as anxiety, social relationships, empathy, and other psychological conditions.
