Characteristics of solid organic fertilizer from market waste based on Nitrogen (N) content with variations in starter types
Abstract
Indonesia is one of the countries that produces waste, one of which is vegetable and fruit waste. Vegetable and fruit waste can be used as raw material for making organic fertilizer. This research aims to determine the nitrogen content, water content and color. This research used a completely randomized design (CRD) as a tool to analyze significant data at a level of 0.05%. The results of the test for the average water content of organic fertilizer using the two starters showed that the average water content of the MOL mole rice starter was 18.663% and for the water content using the EM4 as big as starter it was 18.962%, and the best average water content for both This starter variation is found in the starter mole of stale rice EM4 of 18.962. The results of the average nitrogen content of organic fertilizer using a starter showed that the average MOL nitrogen content was 2.626% and for the EM4 starter type variation it was 2.576%. Meanwhile, the best average nitrogen content was found in the Mol Rice starter type variation of 2.626%.
