Standardization of Non-Specific Parameters of Simplicia Products Noni Fruit (Morinda citrifolia l.) From Herbal Shop “X” in Malang

Noni fruit symplisia products have properties as antioxidants, antithrombolitics, analgesics, anti- inflammatories and xanthine oxidase inhibitor activity. Standardization of simplicia products needs to be carried out to ensure the quality and safety of noni fruit simplicia products. The purpose of this study is to determine the standardization of non-specific parameters of the noni fruit Simplicia product from the herbal medicine X store in Malang in accordance with the requirements of the Indonesian Herbal Pharmacopoeia in 2017. This research is a descriptive research conducted at the microbiology laboratory of the Pharmacy Academy Putra Indonesia Malang. The research stages include testing drying shrinkage, moisture content, total ash content, acid insoluble ash content, and microbial contamination. The results of the study obtained the average drying shrinkage test was 9,55% (requirement ? 10%) and the moisture content was 7.10% (requirement ? 10%). Ash content of 6.60% (requirement ? 7.0%) and acid insoluble ash content of 1.71% (requirement ? 2.0%). Microbial contamination obtained a yield of 1,0 × 106 (requirement ? 106). The conclusion of this study is that the noni fruit Simplicia product have met the quality standards of raw materials listed in the Indonesian Herbal Pharmacopoeia in 2017
