Abstract

Quality is a benchmark in assessing an item, the better the quality of an item, the better value it has, to have good quality requires a high standard of processing that is included in the Standard Operating Procedures of each company, so that a standard operating procedure owned by the company affects the quality of its production. Likewise, corn in meeting domestic food needs requires corn that has good quality. In this study using the Tree Diagram method in controlling quality in corn. Determination of the problem of broken corn kernels in the Tree Diagram using the 5 M + 1 E technique, namely Man, Material, Method, Machine, Measurement, and Environment. The Tree Diagram approach technique produces improvement solutions from the five factors in the Tree Diagram. The use of the Tree Diagram method with the 5 M + 1 E technique allows it to be applied to PT. Santosa Utama Lestari to minimize defects in corn
