DESIGN OF A MONKEY PEST REPELLENT TOOL IN CORN FIELDS

Many of the farmers in Sumbawa Regency, West Nusa Tenggara have switched from planting rice to planting corn due to the relatively high selling value of corn. But apart from the abundance of crops, farmers always have obstacles, sometimes farmers get less than optimal yields due to several factors such as plant destroying pests such as caterpillars, insects, rats and monkeys. Based on these problems, the researchers designed a monkey repellent device in corn fields by utilizing solar heat as a source of electrical energy, PIR sensors as detectors of monkey pest movements,microcontroller arduino UNO as control center, and siren sound asoutput monkey midges thus leaving the cornfield. The method used in this research is quantitative experimental type. The results of this study are when the monkey pest passes through the PIR sensor detection area with a range of 0 to 7 meters automatically relay which has a voltage of 5 volts will trigger a siren to sound with voltageoperationHe will draw 6-15 volts.
