ANALYSIS OF POWER FLOW IN ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS IN THE MECHANICAL ENGINEERING BUILDING OF SUMBAWA BESAR 2nd VOCATIONAL SCHOOL

Abstract

Power flow analysis is used to determine and understand the condition of the electric power system both during planning and expansion. State Vocational High School 2 Sumbawa Besar, especially in the machining engineering department in the future will add loads in the form of machines for learning activities, so it is necessary to have a power flow analysis to find out future designs for installing safety capacity and electric power saving components. The purpose of this research is to analyze and assess the power flow requirements and to determine the application of the method Newton Raphson in analyzing the power flow in the electrical system in the mechanical engineering building of SMK Negeri 2 Sumbawa Besar. Power flow analysis will use the method Newton Raphson and computer applications Electrical Transient Analyzer Program (ETAP). The results of the study obtained the active power (P) and reactive power (Q) values ??that flowed on bus 1 (Swing/slack bus) ke bus 2 (Load bus), this value was obtained from 2 iteration calculations, the power values ??obtained were 110.6051 MW and -6.0021 MVAR. And active power (P) and reactive power (Q) flowing from bus 2 (Load bus) ke bus 1 (Swing/slack bus) produces a power of 2.9825 MW and 1.9938 MVAR. The total power calculated by Newton Raphson in MATLAB is 113.5876 MW and -4.0083 MVAR.
